.3gp conversion?

I've just got a new mobile phone that records video clips in .3gp format. Does anyone know how to convert this type of video to mpeg with sound?

which format could I convert it into so that I'd be able to email the video to people and they'd be able to easily watch it on something like WMP?

also how would I go about converting a dvd to .3gp?

Thanks very much, I'll give it a go.
I'm also going to try and rip some short DVDs and convert the vobs to 3gp so i can watch them on the move!
