  1. Hi, Guys, I thought I'd finally mastered converting and avi file to a DVD and I fail at the last hurdle, again!!
I have transferred 4 camcorder videos to avi files - then used the "Mainconcept" MPEG Encoder to change them to MPEGs; and then "TMPEGEnc Author" to put them together as a DVD and subsequently burn them.
However, I keep getting the message: "Failed to reserve Track. Reason: Invalid Field in CDB" and I have absolutely no idea what this means, or how to correct it!!
I think it is the last video/track that is doing it, but I followed the same procedure with this as with the other 3 tracks/videos:
15 frames/s, No compression, 352x288 etc etc and I still get the same message. I have a Sony Burner and have the latest firmware installed. I know someone must know the answer to what is wrong - pleeeeaaase post a help file. I am fed up with seeing the same bit of pavement over and over again!!! LOL

  3. I have seen something on this error before.... can't remember where..

It is either a firmware error or a bad media error. Since you said you have upgraded to the latest firmware... what type of media are you using? Have you tried burning with any other program besides TDA?

  4. Hi, I've tried Nero, Decrypter and TMPEGEnc's own copier but to no avail so far. I am at present trying this with a RW disc since it would cost me an arm and a leg with all the discs I would have turned into beer mats, lol. I've tried searching the forum but with no success re: this problem. Keep on with the suggestions, hopefully something will cure it?

Output a project. DVD Lab Pro says "Invalid Field in CDB"

    What happened?

first make sure dma is enabled. then i would re-install an aspi layer as yours seems to be corrupted. can happen with unistalling/installing various burner software and update. try this one, as it has always been a "safe" version.

by the way - 15 frames/s, No compression, 352x288 is NOT acceptable for a DVD.
there are lots of guides here, you might want to read a few.
