  1. First I apologize if I have posted this topic in the wrong forum, I had to choose between this one and DVD Authoring.

Second I want to apologize for my English, I am Dutch and speaking English is not so hard, but writing it down correctly is a bit harder, so please be patient with me!

    This is the problem:

I wanted to create a (PAL) DVD using a .avi with the following audio stream according to VirtualDub:

    Sampling Rate 48000Hz
    Channels 5 (Stereo)
    Compression AC-3 ACM Decompressor

I demuxed the audio using VirtualDubMode.

With VirtualDub I changed the .avi framerate to 25 fps.
This 25 frames.avi I used to create an .m2v file in TMPGEnc Plus.

I succesfully changed the audio framerate in BeSweet from 23,97 to 25 frames.

I authored the files in Tmpg Author and burned them with Nero.

To my surprise there was no sound on my authored DVD when played in the stand-alone APEX DVD-player.

I checked the .ac3 file in MediaPlayer Classic and it played fine. I used a created .vob in MediaPlayer Classic and that played fine too.

I am so confused, I have created DVD's with AC3 sound (6 channels) before, no problem there.

Can anyone please tell me where I went wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Did you try to play the authored DVD using WinDVD or PowerDVD using the play from folder option. This allows you to play a dvd from your Hard Drive.
