I did, LioCraft for the DVD's I make. You can use blue for background (blue, black, white, silver). Try to open the *.VOB files of the movie in SupRemap and set the colors.

I'm really thinking about giving up on this thing o' mine. IfoEdit just keeps screwing up the chapters when authoring and Rejig keeps failing on me too. I even recoded the whole demuxed .m2v file using virtualdub as a frameserver for tmpegencoder. You'd think i'd have a whole new "fresh" .m2v file, but no... ifoedit still screws up.

Please... any thoughts on the subject?

2 movies already done succesfuly, no more costers.
One single problem...subs have a little vibration or stutter,,,don't know what is the correct term.

Not you to LioCraft What the .... is wrong with that vibrating subtitles Sorry LioCraft, I can't help you there....some one from doom9 was saying that it's from some Standalone players and you have to select a proper font ....did you try with Verdana NOT BOLD 18 size ?

I really hope to solve this proplem soon, because I see more and more of you are having this problem....4 till now

Well... try to find a way to fix the .m2v, I tried the streamconvertor tool in mpeg2vcr, which converts mpeg1 <> mpeg2. Just open the .m2v file with the tool and it will "fix" the .m2v and mux it into a .mpg file. Then just demux the .m2v file outta the .mpg file (also with Mpeg2vcr) and there you go... one fixed m2v.

But... If even that doesn't work... I see only one other option. I guess tmpegenc doesn't open your fooked up .m2v file either right? Well, then just once again open the .m2v file in virtualdubmod, and start up the built in frameserver for reëncoding your .m2v file with tmpegenc.

Just a couple of ideas that once worked for me.

After reautohoring with Ifoedit (tried 0.95 and 0.96) the subs are perfect selectable, but...... the movie hangs for 2 sec. after every 8-10 minutes and sometimes the subtitles dissapear for a while too, i've looked in the original subtitle file but there are subs at the point where the subs dissapear in the movie.

Can somebody please tell me what i'am doing wrong, or how to correct this problem!

hi, there i have an question about authorization

when i use REJING/IFOEDIT to authorize my NTSC dvd back from demuxed M2V and AC3, the output VOBS are just one episode from three episodes which are on dvd.

dont you know, where could be that problem? (i think it was the last one episode frome those three on dvd)

Hello the problems are fixed, the freeze and dissapear of the subs was a problem of my DVD player (ps2) this one doesn't like RITEK DVD-r that are 100% written, the cheap DVD player of my mother don't gave any problems at all!

Stil remain the question about add subs to a DVD that has no subs included. You can't change any excisting sub files with the new one.

Please give me a solution!

I'm working on it this days, and if all is going to be fine tommorow I will post the guide.

Sorry in0 I didn't do any episode DVDs I think you have to take every episode and demux it and multiplex it back and all the stuff....I mean if they are like episode 1 at VTS_01_1.VOB.....episode 2 at VTS_02_1.VOB ....episode 3 at VTS_03_1.VOB and so on....I looked at your IFO file and damn I guess you have to take the CellTimes.txt from every IFO file of the chapters.

thematrixxx : does not matter those chapters yet. at first i would like to have working video stream and than i can solve chapters. btw i have seen some guide how to count when i have more than one pgc, it is more difficult, but it should be ok.

main problem is stil that damned m2v file. i am going to work on that today. ...and movie is not separated like you think.

xxx1.vob with bonuses, begining of 1st episode.
xxx2.vob with the end of first episode and 1/3 of 2nd episode
etc.

I still have some 'freeze' problems, i've noticed that it has to do with several different dvd players cause some do and some don't, here is the problem:

My re-authored movies inclusive new subs does 'freeze' for 2 seconds exactly on the point where the movie chapter is passage to the new chapter in the movie. And sometimes the subs disapear and i have to re-select them with the remote to see them again.

Is there something to do about this?

hi, i had the followin problem while adding subs to Spun:

did everything according to the instructions, got the srt subs, demuxed, replaced the english ones with mine, remuxed with rejig (ntsc) and did the vob extras thingie starting from the last vts_XX_x (it was 8, main movie was in 1, so no problem renaming vobs)...
and i start playing the movie, goes trough initial credits, gets to the main menu..i start playing the movie, and it goes to the usual fbi warnings, then the studio warnings.. being the first one title 02, chap 1..then goes to title 02, chap 02..and then back to title 02 chap 02..and so on..on an endless loop and never goes to the main movie...
any idea on what am i doing wrong?

Hi dbasulto, well looks like you did something wrong, i don't know exactly what...but we have to take it step by step, so first test the DVD after STEP 5 section b), so before section c) and see if it's ok...burn it on a DVD-RW. (don't forget to do Get VTS sectors, like it says in the last WARNING at the end of the guide).

nice quide, altho i use a slightly different approach.

This guide will help you replace one of the subtitles provided with a DVD-Video disc with another one.

Replace all the subs, or just one and keep the the rest of original ones?
I dont think supremap handlings in this quide (replacing IFO colors) are good for this case.
Here we match ifo colors to our own sub. And what about original ones? Wont they be screwed up by this new ifo?

uhm, i keep getting this problem...followed the instructions carefuly:
when i play the movie, it gets stuck at the first 2 seconds of the first chapter...if i skip to the next chapter, it plays ok, and if i rewind from there to the first chapter, it plays ok...
happened with two movies (Spun and Fog of War).... any ideas?

I've got a little problem:

I think I followed the guide exactly, but the movie doesn't play correctly in my dvd player. It playes the menu, starts with the main movie, but hangs after a couple seconds.

However, it DOES play fine on PC (with new subs), both from HDD and form the burned disc.
Also, Nero does NOT give me any warning message, like stated in the guide.

Any thoughts?

I just noticed that if I skip the first couple of seconds, the rest of the movie plays fine (with new subs), but with no audio (you hear the sound for less than a second after each fast forward of rewind, then it dies). Very strange....

I think you should check if the amount of cells still match after reauthoring all your assets with the new subs. Just use IfoEdit to see if the newly created .ifo file still has the exact same amount of cells... otherwise navigating on your dvd will be tough.

Well... I never really had subs disappearing, and the vibrating you mentioned earlier i'm not sure of... My previous movie sometimes showed a sub that looked like it was wiped out or something... unreadable! This happened because I used some wrong settings in subrip, i don't know if it has anything to do with your problems, but hey "vibrating subs" sounds kinda sexy.

Just when I thought I was trouble free this happens: (Maybe you can help me with this one TheMatrixx?

I have this new DVD in which I wanna put dutch subs, miraculously I was able to use Rejig without making it crash all the time. So everything went well and bla bla Yakitty Yakitty bla, there I had my perfectly authored vobfiles. So next step switch 'm around with the original ones. Done. So now I basicly have a whole dvd again.
But I can't open the dvdfiles with dvd shrink (I/O overlap error bladiebla) I usually solved this by opening the main movie ifo file (i.e. VTS_01_0.IFO) with ifoedit > vob extras > correct vobu pointers > let it run > save the new VTS_01_0.IFO over the old one, and presto... I can open my dvd files with shrink again which means i can burn the files and watch the movie on my standalone.
!!!BUT!!!
this time after correcting the main movie ifofile (this time it was VTS_03_0.IFO) I tried opening my dvd files with shrink, but it let me know that it couldn't find VTS_04_0.VOB which is true because it doesn't exist, but it also didn't on the original disc.
So i guess my question is: How come shrink suddenly starts complaining about VTS_04_0.VOB while I only corrected VTS_03_0.IFO?

Pleazze, somebody help me because this is driving me nuts...

i uses the guide from step to step exatly as its written BUT..
my movies cant runs normal.... A little before each chapter is finish it stop showing the subs and after about 20-30 seconds it jumps back to the chapter start and start showing the subs again..
Anyone know what might can be the problem..
Btw.. I have tried with 3 diffrent movies now and the result is all the same

Hey Thematrix First I also want's to thanke you for our great job , I not a newbe I had worked long with this subject, to change the subs to my lanquage Danish , I for the first time I got af succesfully DVD Almost I have just 1 problem, that is tha mys subtitle is tranperent I only got the outline collor but that means the sub on my stand a lone player is very bad, I know that others in this tread has the same problem but I can't find a answer on the problem, tha's why I take the chance to ask again and hope there is someone who can help me/us

I just finished another dvd, and this time I'm having that weird subtitle problem too. Sometimes it seem like they're just being turned off or something... suddenly a sub disappears and no subs show until I rewind or fast forward a bit. Weird right? I guess i'm not the only one with this problem so if somebody knows any kind of solution... let us know.

Exactly, reselecting the sub works too... I have one movie where it only happens once, and in my latest movie it happens several times, seems like subs are being disabled. An other thing worth mentioning is that the moment it happens differs on different dvd-players.
Not a VERY big deal, but nontheless irritating...

I follow the guide exactly but when i burn it on a DVD-RW and use it with a stand-alone it starts from chapter 25 instead of 1 so i can only see the half of this movie. the movie is NTSC but i use Ifoedit 0.95 because rejig crashes all the time when i try to multiplex
