  1. Ok, hi everyone
Yesterday I burned a vcd out of Cue/Bin (created with TSCV v0. with CDRWin Version 4.0A. It played perfect in my standalone dvd player.
Today I tried to do the same process with other big Mpegs I created and all I got are burned CDs that do not play on the DVD player....
First of all, I've seen I could burn these cue/bin files with TSCV, but it gives me the following report:

    Starting CDRDAO Burning process...

WARNING: Environment variable 'HOME' not defined - cannot read .cdrdao.
    ERROR: Missing toc-file.

    Cdrdao version 1.1.5 - (C) Andreas Mueller <andreas@daneb.de>
SCSI interface library - (C) Joerg Schilling
    L-EC encoding library - (C) Heiko Eissfeldt
Paranoia DAE library - (C) Monty

Check http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/drives.html#dt for current driver tables.

    (default: c:\cd.cue)
--driver <id> - force usage of specified driver
--simulate - just perform a write simulation
--speed <writing-speed> - selects writing speed
--multi - session will not be not closed
--overburn - allow to overburn a medium
--eject - ejects cd after writing or simulation
--swap - swap byte order of audio files
--buffers # - sets fifo buffer size (min. 10)
--reload - reload the disk if necessary for writing
--force - force execution of operation
    -v # - sets verbose level
-n - no pause before writing

    Burn process finished

OK.., this happened yesterday too. Can I fix this?
As I couldn't burn it with this program neither with Nero or Easy CD Creator 4, I downloaded CDRWin and burn it and played perfect (I created 11 cue points on it).
No I took a 41 minutes mpeg and created 14 cuepoints, and burn it 5 times, and the CDrs were not even recognized by the dvd player.
Assuming that the amount of cuepoints could be the problem, I reencode the file creating only 3 cuepoints.
It brought to my attention that CDRWin gives this info when I load the "cuesheet":

    Number of files: 1
Number of tracks: 2 (???? Isn't it one?)
    Number of cuepoints: 6 (????? I just created 3!!!)
    Disc running time: 41:17:28
    Approx recording time: 4 minutes

Another difference between yesterday's recording and today's ones is the fact that yesterday I recorded the VCD X1 as I didn't have the serial number of this program. Now I'm recording X12.

Should I change something on the configuration of this program? Is there any other good program to burn Cue/Bin files?
    Please help!
    Thanks so much
    I'm waiting online

Number tracks: on a VCD, the total number of tracks is equal to the number of video tracks (or number of <sequence-item> ) plus one. This is because the first physical track on a VCD contains all the logical information and the ISO filesystem. Thus, if you had ONE video track, the total number of REAL tracks on the disc is two.

Number of cuepoints: "6" sounds right if you made 3 for chapters. This refers to CUEPOINTS, not entrypoints. For each entrypoint, VCDImager also makes an additional cuepoint (as a subindex) on the track. Now, apart from the three you created, there will be a cuepoint for the beginning of the first track, a cuepoint denoting the beginning of the second track, a cuepoint for the pregap (3 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 6).

I'm glad you got XDuplicator working... It's a great GUI for CDRDAO.

  4. another question....
is there a way to add to the cue/bin files additional mpegs? The cue/bin files will create a 42 minutes vcd, so I was wondering if I could add more mpegs....

  5. You can't just add them to the CUE sheet.

You will have to add them to the XML descripter file and re-build your CUE/BIN image.
