Is there a definition? Just asking.

From the glossary to the <== left:
Coaster
An authored disc that won't play, either due to improper authoring, poor media quality, or write error. The name is derived from the disc's uselessness as a DVD/VCD, may as well be used to set drinks on. -
I thought it was someone who tries to get someone else to do all the work for them, i.e. researching simple questions before posting a message
"Just another sheep boy, duck call, swan
song, idiot son of donkey kong - Julian Cope" -
somethin you use so you dont stain your furniture when you set you drink down

Personally, I believe a coaster is a lazy person who can't seem to find the time to look up a word in the dictionary. As to coast through life with the help of other people. Sorry counldn't resist.Russ

Good thing we got that definition.
I was mixing up coaster with freezebee (is it spelled correctly?). At least, that's what I am longing everytime I get a coaster in my hands.
For coasters, I use Microsoft CDs. Windows NT simplified chinese edition, or Russian or Arabic. (Interesting languages, but I never understood why Microsoft was shipping them to us). Eventually Microsoft got the message (that we were full of coasters), and stopped sending them.
And if you think that I am off topic, mind you this: Microsoft makes highly engineered coasters. The cd-hole in the middle is not a deficiency, but a feature. It allows the glass bottom to "breathe" and the glass doesn't stick on the coaster. Especially when you glue 2 CDs face to face, which makes them just enough heavy.
So much about coasters. The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know. -

Thanks everyone, please excuse my ignorance, I am new to all this. I had used the "search" facility but hadn't found an answer, hence the post.
