I have a handful of older DVDs in my collection i'd like to save but due to careless family members and other stuff over the years, they are old&scratched up.
The DVDs themselves seem to play fine at first but will freeze around the middle/end and there's nothing i can do.So far i've tried smartripper and DVD Decrypter with no luck.
Any suggestions?

You could try to remove most of the scratches with an abrasive toothpaste or Brasso. Then use Armorall to refinish the DVD.

Have you selected "Ignore Read Errors" and "Fast Error Skip" in DVDDecrypter?
