If money is somewhat tight how about a Caribbean Cruise - choose one with many stops if you've never been before.

  5. Someone earlier mentioned Australia, which I think is a good place. Also I would consider Greece or Tahiti......

From my globe-trekking days working for an airline:

B&Bs in Scotland and Ireland are very romantic, though sometimes it's better to rent a cottage to yourselves. Don't wanna keep the hosts up boffin' the missus. I recommend the Culloden House near Inverness for a neat place to stay. The hotel is gorgeous and there is plenty to see up there.

Italy is great, but it's very touristy. I have only been there twice. First time was part of a high school trip so it was all the tourist traps, but Rome and the surrounding area (don't forget Pompeii) are a must-see at least once in your lifetime. Ditto for Greece, which has quite a lot less tourism but even more accomodations.

Japan rules, but I found it much more stimulating as a single guy. May not be the place to take the little woman to for a honeymoon. Minty.

For tropical getaways I couldn't recommend Cuba enough. You have to get there by "alternate means" but it's well worth the trouble. Just make sure to suggest to them not to stamp your passport unless you come back through Canada and cross the border in a car.

My vote is for Scotland though. Those crazy f'ers sure know how to have a good time

  8. Hapuna beach on the big island of hawaii. Best beach in the world. The Prince Hotel there is extreamly nice too.
Things i enjoy doing are running around in circles, eating rocks, and having jumping competitions with people shorter than me.
