    Hi,

    I am trying to open up XVIDs in VirtualDub-MP3 and VirtualDub and everytime I get the error complaing about can't locate decompressor for format 'XVID' (unknown). I downloaded the XVID codec from http://www.roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml and even verified that the XVIDS are recognizable using Gspot... yet, VirtualDubs still complain. Please help. Thanks.

    I had the same problem myself and I think you need to get hold of something like ffdshow and install it and then xVid files should open fine.

    Hi Richy, thanks for responding. I installed the program and then tried opening XVID w/ VDub again... but to no avail... What exactly am I suppose to do with the ffdshow to get VDub to open XVID? Thanks again for your help.
