  1. On a WindoesME machine I am having problems with SmartRipper locking up my machine when I start it. It tells me something to the effect of "Illegal operation, your computer must be restarted"

I have unlocked the drive first (by starting the movie with WinDVD) so that is not the problem.

I *DO* have Nero installed and someone in a earlier thread said that there may be a fix by removing one of the Nero Files? But I could not find anywhere which file they were talking about or any more specifics on this problem.

I have tried reinstalling SmartRipper a few times and that did not help. Also the boot patch on Nero will not work for me since it specifically says that it will not work on WindowsME and to be honest with you, the last thing I want to do anyways is add another boot option to my machine.

    Any help is appreciated

    Thanks

    GoodLuck.

PS: DVD Decrypter is pretty good also.

  6. Well, I suppose you could use the 612 on your 612b, but i'd first make a backup of your current Firmware (the software usually supports it) and then you can try, but be careful!!
