  1. Here is the dilly yo.

Just downloaded some .bin and .cue files of a friends movie. He has a PC I have a MAC.

When i try and drag these puppies into toast 6 to make a VCD it says

"It is an unkown format and cannot be imported"

What? they are bins? Aren't they? Can i convert them to another file format? Like MpG?

Any workarounds would be very much appreciated. I have ffmpegx.

I am really at a stale mate here.

    Thanks Dudes,

    vcdgear will convert'em for you

    http://www.vcdgear.com/download.html

    there is an OSX version

you could also try using a pc emulator & the windows version to convert the bin/cue to mpeg.

  4. HA ha ha ha MAc user :P
You need to mount the bin and cue in a disc emulator then you can manipulate the files therein anyway you like.
Or something like ISOBUSTER or vcdeasy can extract the mpg files
or Burn it using something that supports bin+cue files, they are just cd images..even use a cdrw to test (the mac can use Cdrw cant it?)
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

    eeeehhhh wrong.

    1. put the .bin's on your hd
    2. extract out the .mpeg files with VCDtoolx
    3. you will get mpeg files which you can then convert over to anything you want. Authoring them this way ensures you will be able to burn them properly.

    burning requires
toast 6 in Copy mode, FireburnFX, or Missing Media Burner

oh yea... as jeex pointed out. Once is enough

  6. Whoa, you guys strike with quick and deadly force. Sorry about the mass spamming.

Anyhoo. I am still working on this problem. VcdToolsX does not exist anymore. If you could find me a link that works or another mpeg extraction tool you would suggest, I'll make you a milkshake.

Pc emulator I'm a little bit against, but if there are no mac solutions well, it's bullit (as the movie) biting time

    thanks for the help kiddies!

    Cheers Nathan
