I am using a Pioneer 106D with G04 DVD-R's, burning with RecordNowDX (with Data Verification every 10 rounds selected). It has been working perfectly for the last 40 DVDs, and now suddenly -for the past 5 DVDs- I am getting this error when the verification is taking place after the burn:

    Error -10 at Sector (different# each time) - Command:28 Sense:03 ASC:11 ASCQ:05

Does anyone know what this error means? I have had no luck finding information...

    Any help would be appreciated...

Verification in the burning application DOES NOT mean anything, True verification is copying the DVD/ CD back onto the hardrive using a DVD-ROM. I have had many that had errors in verification during burn but were 100% good using the mentioned method and some DVDs that were verified were bad using the same method.

    Thanks for your reply.

However, in this case, each of the DVDs that had the error began skipping (with green squares appearing all over the TV) during playback of the final chapter...

    Anyone have any advice?

L-Ec Uncorrectable Error is what that ASPI code means. Bad Blocks.

Data verification means everything, I think Dennis1968 didn't understand the program your using, nor the process it does.

After burning the disc, RNM will do a bit for bit data verification of the disc, like DVD Info Pro's data verification.

In your (sukoto) case, the disc has bad, unrecoverable, unreadable sectors. Which is also seen by the green blocks, skips, and stutters, upon playback in your DVD Player.

    Try using better media.

  5. I have to agree with Disturbed in that the problem may be your media. Many have recently complained about the reliability of their Ritek G04's. I myself have had many problems with them in the last couple of months, although I have not received the same error you are getting. I remember when G04's first came out the demand was very big. I think they couldn't keep up and decided to farm out their work and hence the quality has deteriorated in the last half year or so. Other people in this forum have pointed me towards Taiyo Yuden's, Maxells (watch out for unbranded fakes) and Prodiscs.
