  1. When i play my avi files to my TV, some thin transparent horizontal lines appear, anyone had this problem?

    P4 HT 2.4
    512 MB RAM
    G4 ti 4200
    Windows XP Pro
    nvidia driver 56.72

    Do you by any chance have a Sony CRT? If so, these horizontal lines (one or two - depending on screen size) CAN NOT be removed... They are part of the aperture grill system (series of thin wires separating each pixel) on smaller CRTs you will see one horizontal line (sort of a shadow) in the middle. On larger CRTs you will see two lines. These wires are placed horizontally to help maintain equal spacing between the vertical wires.

    BTW, Sony's patent on aperture grill technology has expired - so you can also experience this on other manufacturers CRTs being sold today...
