  1. I noticed when I just use shrink and backup a dvd then try to back it up again using shrink or dvd decrypter it wont work. Does this have something to do with the keys not being removed? I know some people using dvd decrypter first before launching into other software for editing or writing to disk. Is shrink just limited from this standpoint as far as removing these keys? I cant imagine using decrypter for 48 mins then shrink for another 48 min for one backup. Specially when I can use shrink once and it is done. Any suggestions on saving time here? Thanks

If it is already a backup, then why not simply use your burning software to make a copy of the disk. There seems little point ripping to copy it if is already a copy.

  3. The easiest and fastest way to backup a DVDR (or DVD5 disc) is using DVD Decrypter:

    1) Choose "Mode | ISO - READ" and rip image to HD
    2) Choose "Mode | ISO - WRITE", select image, and burn to DVDR

It's hard to say what you're problem is. First off you don't need to use shrink to backup a DVDR/DVD5 disc And any ripping program should remove CCS.

What happens in DVD Decrypter when you try to do the steps outlined above?

  4. Well because I have found problems if i use just shrink to make a backup then back up that same dvd. It give me a redundantcy error. I figured it was because there were still some security keys on there.

  5. I have not used DVD Decrytper following those steps. I will try though. But sometimes dvds are too big to fit on the dvd so I have to edit them with shrink.
