  1. i posted a thread a while ago asking if a dvd-recorder can record audio cd.. replies said i wasn't able to..

got another question, but this time it's abt cd recorder.. i'm gonna connect an external audio source using rca cables to the cd recorder. if i don't fill the whole 80 mins on a cd-r, am i able to continue from where i left off? i've tried on several occasions where i burn datas onto a cd-r and when i burn additional datas another time, the datas that were burned the first time disappeared. thanks!

Some audio CD players do not support multi-session. You have to burn all the song at one go.

All cd recoder support multi-session burning. In fact, you are already doing it i.e. you burn some songs and later burn some more on the same CDR. For a PC it's OK but not for a standalone CD player. So, to avoid such problem of missing song, you compile all the songs the CDR can store and burn it at one go.

  5. so that means it's not possible to burn some onto a cd-r and add more to fill the disc at another time?

i was reading the details of a tdk cd recorder from bestbuy.. it said there's a 20gb hdd, etc.. was wondering if it's real time recording or does the song have to be stored on the recorder's hdd and have it processed before it's burned onto the cd?
