  1. Hello. I tried to look my problem in the forum, but couldnīt find.
Iīve been trying to encode an AVI (DivX5) file to DVD MPEG-2. The file is encoded with 23,976fps and from what Iīve learned, DVD must be encoded in 29,97fps with 3:2 pulldown. But when I do so, my MPEG-2 file length gets smaller than the original, the video arquive is smaller than what was predicted with the bitrate calculator and the video looks slightly faster too.
Any idea about how can I fix it would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

  2. You are increasing the number of frames played every second by 29.97 - 23.976 = 5.994 frames every second. This makes your videos shorter - you are literally playing them faster.

There is nothing you can do but accept this as a fact of living with NTSC. I, on the other hand, have PAL which is 25fps always! :P

  3. Leave it at 23,x and try to make it 23,x (29.97 internal) instead. If you stick to the wizard it'll make sure it's set up properly for you.
