  1. This is also a general question in regard to DVD media. I gave a mate a DVD+RW of a DVD I created with my own video in DVD-Lab and burnt with Nero. It also contained a slideshow.

The video along with the chapeter/scene menus played fine, however the slideshow only showed the first pic on my friend's player (it all worked on my DVD player). It was created in DVD-Lab and was supposed to show a new pic automatically every 2 seconds. Pushing left/right on the DVD remote had no impact for him either.

The question I ask is, once a disc is recognised, can the media standard and/or brand impact on what parts of the DVD will work and which won't? I would've thought it wouldn't once the DVD is recognised by the player? I haven't got enough different DVD brands/types to test myself and hope others might know. And what are other people's experiences with DVD-Lab's slideshow feature and success rate on playback?

It is 100% for me, over three hundred burns encompassing over fifty projects.

All had slideshows. I only use quality TDK media and only burn at 4X (I could burn at 8x Plexor be choose not to.)

I don't burn with Nero. I create an ISO out of DVDlab and burn using dvddecrypter.

Your friends player could be choking on the audio. What audio are you using? And how was it created?

Thanks the for feedback. The slideshow contained BMPs that were exported as grabs from the original video file in Premiere. They were dragged into "Audio & Video" in DVD-Lab and then dragged individually into the slideshow. There's actually no audio at all in the slideshow itself. The title menu that links directly to the slideshow has audio and played alright on the menu itself but that shouldn't affect the slideshow.

Have heard good things about DVD Decrypter so I'll start using that too.
