  1. I recently got the Chappelle's Show complete first season and it comes on 2 discs. I've been using DVD2One to rip movies, but this is kinda hard. I wanna rip the total discs to the hard drive and then combine them on 1 dvdr. If this is not possible I'll settle for being able to only rip each episode and put them all on 1 dvdr and have them play consecutively without a menu, like the "Play All" option the main menu of the original dvd. There is a total of 12 episodes, plus extra material and commentary for about 4 episodes. Some of the other tools I've installed and worked with are DVD Decryptor, DVD Shrink, AnyDVD (which I use with DVD2One to rip), and CopyToDVD to burn. I'd greatly appreciate any help with this situation.

    thanx in advance

You're going to lose a lot of quality by putting them all on one DVD. Are you ok with that?

    P.S.- "I'm Rick James, bitch."

  3. why would I lose alot of quality? I've read the forum for a few days and I've read the part about movies being able to be compressed by shaving the excess bandwidth and that this process decreases quality alot more when dealing with episodes because they are usually recorded at low bandwidth, but exactly how much will I lose and whats the process to do that so I can see the results for myself. As of right now, I can't use DVD2One to rip to hard drive because it only has options for 'join', 'full disk', and 'movie only'.

I never had an luck using DVD2ONE when backing up episodic DVDs. I use DVDshrink instead. Try that.

DVD2ONE is just fine for films though.

  5. I already downloaded and installed DVD Shrink. I have both discs of Chappelle's Show Season One on my HDD but now I want to combine them onto 1 disc if at all possible. If this is impractical please let me know and I'm open to suggestions about a resource (dvd+r) saving method of backing up the Complete Season. I'm even open to trying new software to rip or compress, which I usually don't like because new software requires that much more time to learn and understand in order to use it like an expert.

Thanks in advance for your help

  6. if both disks are on your hd, use dvdshrink and choose reauthor.

move all the titles from the 1st and 2nd disk from left to right and then click on backup.

you will lose the menus but you should have the chapters intact.

    PS> I plead the 5th...F-I-F!!!
