Need help to fit movie on 700Mo CD

I used TMPGenc to encode a movie on one 700Mo CD.

First, i ripped DVD with DVD2AVI on my hard drive.

After, i encoded the movie with TMPGenc at 1150 Kbits/sec.

The result is a 878Mo MPEG file (it doesn't fit on CD)

SO, i tried to re-encode at 950 Kbits/sec, and the result is still 878Mo.

What's wrong ???

You need to select "VideoCD (non standard)" rather than VideoCD

Also remember that with VCD and SVCD files, the movie file will appear larger in Windows but will still fit when authored to CD. I think this is because the video file doesn't use some error protection that data discs do.

You're using TMPGEnc, so go on the percentage of the disc capacity that it tells you that you're using then author the resulting file to CD and you'll find that although the file is a fair bit over it should still fit.

But i don't know why a movie encoded at 950Kbits/sec has the same file size than 1150Kbits/sec....
