hey, i have a video on my computer in .MPG format and i used the new Nero to burn it into a VCD and when i play it in a DVD player the video is so screwed up and distorted to where i cant even explain it, any ideas?

It could be that your DVD player just doesn't like the mpeg file. Did you get an error saying the the file wasn't VCD compliant? Does the VCD play ok on your PC?

no the program didnt even have to rencode it or anything, i know my DVD player will play them because it has played all the others in the past, and the VCD plays just fine on the PC

i have not try to burn a VCD in months and took the advice thinking the MPEG was messed up
just today i tryed to bur nanother one, using NERO once again it came out distorted both audio and video
so i got the VCDEASY program up and running today, and tryed burning the same video, and now the DVD player cant even read that one, this is so frustrating i need some help -
Maybe the VCD is PAL? That would give a rolling distorted black and white picture, more or less, sometimes just black and white, but usually distorted.

it burned in NTSC format, the picture had color but it was distorting you could see "blocks" popping out all over, the sound was stopping and starting making those damned clicks and stuff like that
