Pinnacle 8 capturing no sound in windows

Alright.. i wanna ask you pro's some question

im using a no-brand FIREWIRECARD that bundles with my panasonic gs-50. comes with ulead software.

and yeah, i went to download pinnacle 8
capturing everything is okay.. but when PREVIEWING capture in windows.. there's no SOUND from my SPEAKER..
only the CAM has sound..

when end capturing.. the AVI file has sound.. question is

WHY WHEN PREVIEW CAPTURE.. I CAN'T HEAR ANYSOUND SOURCE COMING TO MY WINDOWS?

it this normal to pinnacle 8 software? or do i have to get a PINNACLE FIREWIRE card so that it supports the software ?

ULEAD program capture has sound in windows preview..but the software is crap

WINDV - no preview sound for capture..
AM capture - got sound when capturing in windows.. but i want sound in my pinnacle

Perfectly normal. With Pinnacle Studio 9, I hear sound from my camcorder when capturing but not through my PC speakers.

My understanding is that Pinnacle included the ability to preview sound through PC speakers while capturing in a version of PS8 and it created some performance-related issues. Thereafter, they removed that ability.

If hearing sound through your speakers is important to you, for whatever reason, you can get Scenalyzer for $39. I haven't bothered because I can hear the sound through my camcorder just fine, it doesn't seem to offer a whole lot more (in terms of functionality) than PS9 (as far as I can determine), and I wouldn't adjust anything until the editing stage, anyway.
