  1. I converted the enclosed movie, My.Cousin.Wedding.Movie.avi, to VCD using ffmpegX and it looks like, it divide the movie in three .mpg plus one .mp2.

My first question is: wich file is a VCD so that i can burn it on Toast and watch on a personnel DVD player, Panasonic R-32?

    My.Cousin.Wedding.Movie-3.mpg
    My.Cousin.Wedding.Movie-2.mpg
    My.Cousin.Wedding.Movie.mpv
    My.Cousin.Wedding.Movie-1.mpg
    My.Cousin.Wedding.Movie.mp2
    My.Cousin.Wedding.Movie.avi

Question #2: Is that the proper way to be able to convert .avi to VCD?

  2. #1: You need to author the 3 .mpg files into .cue/.bin pairs, one for each CD. To do so, rename your files so as there is no space or special character in them (or in their path). Then click the Tools tab and select the first .mpg in the first "Browse" field. Enable only "Author as VCD" in the right side. Click the "Author" button which will create the .cue/.bin pair. Repeat for the other 2 .mpg files. Burn the .cue/.bin pairs with Toast 6.

#2: Yes. If your files doesn't have spaces or special characters in their names or path, the above .bin/.cue pairs will be created automatically at the end of the encoding process.

  3. Thank you, I did try to author the the files with no success. I try with some other files and still no success, I'm only getting .mpg, .m1v and .mp2 files no .bin/.cue. Do you think that I miss something in the installation of ffmpegx.

I put my file in the Open.... */Film DVD/Filmavi.avi/xxxxxxxxx.avi and then press the Quick Presets button. In the Tools icon it does put it automaticly in Author as VCD .bin/.cue.

I'm i suppose to do anything with, under Video Tools 1. Select file to process and 2. launch processing Mux as VCD....

I can see a space between "Film" and "DVD" - remove it.
