    when i try to (bakup) a dvd
    this is what it say`s Failed to read from file
    is there a way to (bakup) a dvd and fix this it happen`t to 20% of the dvd`s that i have

    What sort of dvd are you trying to back up retail or dvdr ?
    What software are you using to back them up ?
    What state are the disks in ?

    dvdshrink30beta5
    DVD X Copy XPress
    state of dvd`s is good
    burner and reader 8X LG
    dvd 9 Band of Brothers dvd 2 and 5
    1 3 4 where good

    is there a program or somting that can fix this ro software that can reat over it

    I would suggest that you give the disks a good clean with a soft cloth to remove any finger makes etc and then have a real close look at the disk, bet there are some circular marks somewhere.
    You could try dvdcrypter as you can tell that to ignore read errors unlike shrink which just crashes out.
    Not bothered by small problems...
