guys:
I just backed up first dvd with dvd shrink.
but the dvd has no audio.
However the dvd shrink info for the dvd shows existing ac3 audio.
Then I located the dvd files in my hard drive. Sure enough even while playing back the files directly from the hard drive, none of my dvd players including intervideo , windows media will play the audio poriton.
however dvd shrink preview plays the audio very nicely
I have also nero's media player. is it possible this player is screwing up the audio?
thanx

Did you leave the tick in the box by the side of the ac3 audio in compression settings, when you first set up shrink to shrink your dvd, if you removed the tick the result will be no audio on your backup.
I've just won the lottery, what would i want with a bitch like you.

It does sound like maybe you didn't have an audio channel selected. I guess the test is to do a full backup - don't remove any subtitles or audio streams. Then play the files off your Hard Drive. If it doesn't work then you might need an AC3 codec installed on your computer.
If in doubt, Google it. -
I had teh tick mark for the audio set
I also suspected about ac3 codec.
But then dvd shrink itself should not have any auid if the ac3 codec was not working right?
also all the regular dvd's play wiht sound no problem.
doesn;t it mean the ac3 codec is working?
thanx
