  1. hi,

did anybody know, that protection can be intervalled on VHS,
means times (seconds) when it is set, and times when not (minutes).

better to backup EVERY Video across a decoder,

very nice, now, have to check about 50 backuped VHS to DVD,
where i leaved the rooom when the backup was running.
    *grrrr*

normally, you see if a VHS is protected at least at the beginning of the VHS,
you will record "white screen", or too bright, or to laud

  7. Yeah, I've seen that before.

If you mean the fact that Macrovision won't screw up the picture all the time, I've seen it.

If you mean that when you copy a DVD to a tape and they try to go back, sections will record and then all of a sudden it won't, I've seen that too.

However, I've never seen a white screen. This is why you should always check the program you've just finished burning as soon as it is done.

If neither of these describes your problem, then I don't know what you're talking about.

Can you more clearly state what is going on?

I always have an Optex video stabilizer in line, and it has never failed to crack Macrovision on tapes. Interestingly enough, however some Macrovision is so strong there are still red and blue lines in the picture. However, these are not present if the tape is played on a good Panny VCR. Thus, you have to use that as a source for going to DVD.

    Good luck!
