Does anyone know the limit for HD size in FAT32?
I'm installing WIn XP Pro, but I'm using a Win98 SE start disk to format the drive first, cuz I want to use FAT32 instead of NTFS. The reason being I want to dual boot with XP/98.
Anyway, when formatting with the 98 boot disc, it is stating a format of 52,26.89M, but it's a 120g drive. Whats wrong here?

    Thanks.

The XP OS disc can format in Fat32 and NTFS both. You can set two partitions on the drive with it and put 98 the Fat32 and XP on the NTFS. I'm sure you have reasons for a 98 installation, but I gave up on 98 a long time ago because of the limitations and the frequent crashes. I believe the 98 OS won't be able to read anything on the NTFS partition.
If you want to use the 98 startup, use fdisk to set the partitions. Problem is, when you put in the XP disc, you will have the same options to partition and format. I only use a 98 startup if I want to do a clean install of XP over a previous XP installation. Trouble is, you have to reformat everything again when the XP disc is installing.
EDIT: Your first question, Seems I recall the number 137G. I believe there is a work around to increase this.

Thanks for the quick reply Red, but it turned out OK.
It reported formatting as 52,26.89M, but when it finished, it reported the disc as 117,768.09Mb, thats close enough for me.
Because the HD was new, XP insisted on using NTFS, wouln't let me use FAT32. Don't know why, but hey, thats Microsoft for ya. So, I used a Win98 boot disk.
My reaseon for keeping 98, is mainly for games, a lot of my old ones don't work on XP, and my SCSI scanner also dislikes XP.
