.mpa and .mpv files, now what?

I tried ffmpegX to convert DVDTheShippingNews to svcd, waited for 9 hours and got two files .mpa 56.6MB and .mpv 1.39GB. And other file audiodump.wav 1.19GB (audio for the movie)in another place.
What have I to do now, I want to get a svcd.

The process is not finished. Wait until you see the "Finished" message.

At that time I waited for one hour or so, and nothing changed, that is the reason I went to sleep.

IF you quit the process, there is no way to resume it. When you think there is a problem, you should always make sure the process is finished, and look at the process output (blue "i" icon) for any error message.

You can try the "fast SVCD" preset, which is faster.
