CUE or ISO are the only image files I've seen. Maybe BIN is a normal file but if I were you I'd wait and get more information before opening it. .BIN is the extension for a binary file and it could be anything.

try opening it with videolan. If it works ok, then burn the cue file with nero or whatever burning program you use.

  4. If there is no cue file in your RAR archive to go with that BIN, you could probably still burn the image in Nero.

You could mount the BIN in Daemon Tools and do a CD to CD copy.

You could extract the video data with IsoBuster and recreate an image with VCDGear. VCDGear should also handle the RAR archive, and be able to extract the MPEG data.

Is there no ".cue" file with the ".bin" file?

Whatever you do - Do Not double click it - it could be a virus and trash your whole system!!!
Best just to delete it and look for another 8)

that is what they make antivirus programs and firewalls for. Assuming you are as anal about updated virus definitions and updating your programs as I am, then there is not a problem.

    1. If you have a cue file and a bin, burn it with Nero(File>Burn Image).

    2. If you just want the mpegs and don't want to burn them to disc yet, rip them from the bin file with ISObuster. This only works if the images are VCD or SVCD.

Just use ISObuster and rip the mpeg from the bin. Worry about getting it on disc later. Once you have your mpeg you'll need to determine what kind of mpeg it is(SVCD or VCD). See this thread for more info: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=894646#894646
Don't mind the flaming though.. Read more about SVCD and VCD specs by clicking on "What is VCD" and "What Is SVCD" in the upper left of this page. Also, you didn't mention what kind of disc you plan on putting the mpeg on. DVD or CD? DVD will require a lot more work on your part, just so you know.

  11. if there is no cue file then there are freeware programs (do a search) that can be used to recreate a cue file, as this is the correct way to burn/mount a bin file, ive ran into problems just using the bin file to burn.

CD the movie file is split in two, so it (If it works) will be easier. Cheers

One suggestion that I always make:
If the movie is available cmmercially (ie. you can buy it), then you should purchase it and avoid any issues such as this. You also get better quality than SVCD, plus (possibly) extras. If it's available, you'll find that the cost of the DVD is less than the cost of the time it takes to screw around trying to convert or burn.

  14. Previous versions of CDMage use to make a cue file from a CD-Image.

It doesn't seem to work anymore. (for me)

Have you tried burning yet? You can take the mpegs and burn to cd with Nero. Depending on the mpeg's specs(reffer to the links in the upper left again), select either the VCD or SVCD template and drop one file at a time into the compilation.
