I think that the term used is "rip" I have some small nero burned vcd clips which I need to put on another cd or if the worst comes to the worst a dvd. I was successful with svcd to dvd yesterday using vcdgear apart from a bit of flicker, so hopefully I can be equally with this venture. Which tools are recommended? How do rip them? Thanks Clive

Rip the mpegs from the VCD with ISObuster and cut/edit/join the clips as needed with TMPGEnc by going to File>MPEG Tools>Merge & Cut. Should you decide to put the clips on DVD there's no need to convert to DVD spec mpeg-2. VCD mpegs have a legal resolution. All you need to do is resample the audio to 48000hz. Certain authoring programs like TMPGEnc DVD Author and DVD Lab(I believe) can do this for you.
