I'm very curious. I have a couple of concerts on dvd that were never released. Is there any way to copy the audio portion and then burn it to a cd? Has anyone tried this. Maybe I'm dreaming. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

For DVD's I want audio off of, I use DVD Decrypter to rip, Headac3he to convert to WAV, and then Goldwave to cut tracks and re-encode to MP3. Goldwave isnt free (its shareware) but it functions for long enough that you can do quite a bit with it before it becomes non-working.

just did a bunch of this, to sample some bits from some movies.

    easiest way I found -

    - SmartRipper - select "Stream Processing", check off just the audio stream, and select "demux to extra file".

    - you'll end up with 5 or 6 files, one of which will be an .ac3 file. delete everything else except the .ac3 file.

    - plug it into BeSweet and convert to 44.1khz .wav file.

    - use Audacity to edit for length.

all freeware, and once you get the process set up, pretty easy and fast.

    Hi,

In using #1 DVD Audio Ripper, I am constantly getting the folowing error:
"MPEG2Dec: Error during reading input file"

I see all the chapters listed and am selecting them to rip. Most resulting .mp3 seem to be cutting off before the end of the "song."

    Any sugggestions?

    Thanx,

    John
