    Has anyone tried flashing a 4081 with the firmware from the 4082? Any results?

    Someone tried it, the firmware works with the 4081 but it doesn't change your 4081 to a 4082

    About updating the firmware... how can i know what firmware i have in my LG 4082B...?

    Some if not most backup program should tell you what firmware version.....if not either DVDinfo or DVDindentifier will...actually the LG firmware update program will tell you what present version of firmware you have with your drive before you confirm update.
