  1. Hi,
I had some camcorder footage which I converted to MPEG-2 using a Hauppauge PVR card - fine, no problems so far.
I then decided to use the nanoPEG editor to take my favourite clips of the footage and create an edited MPEG-2 file.
However, when I come to use the Ulead Moviefactory to create a DVD, it basically cannot play the MPEG-2 footage beyond the first clip.
I tried using TMPGEnc to see if it could clear what I thought were hidden markers left in by nanoPEG but it doesn't like the audiostream and will not mulitiplex or merge/cut or anything I try.
When playing the footage through DVD2AVI I noticed the timestamp on the audio kept returning to zero at the start of each clip within the footage - is this the problem?
Please, I would be very grateful if someone can help me to overcome this problem.
    Thanks

I got so fed up with that juvenile nanoPEG editor that I brought my Hauppauge card back and got a refund. If you can afford the $70 price, try using Womble MPEG2VCR (the best MPEG editor there is).

  3. Thanks for the advice.

I used Womble and the problem was solved. It took me seconds to find and successfully use a "Fix" tool that removed whatever hidden markers were making the MPEG impossible to author to a DVD.
I'll use Womble for all my editing now.

    regards
