I have a cd with svcd format and am trying to use dvdlab so it will play on dvd. The guide mediachance tutorial is not only poor english but also out of sequence i.e when asked to drag the AVESEQ1 file it won't budge in the end I used TMPgenc to demux to get the audio and video assets into the dvdlab folder , then the instruction goes on to say author as you would any other file. However it does not explain how to output/compile the file. I am used to using TMPGenc and this is seemingly different. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks Clive

Just demux with tmpgenc. And then import into dvdlab. Drag the both parts to de right parts of the movie and use the compile dvd option in the menu.

  3. DVDLab will demux the file automatically.
You can use tmpgenc's mpeg tools to do it, if the other fails.
What is doesn't say/show in the Mediachance tutorial, is dragging the AVISEQ file into the assets box in dvdlab. It's easier to just right click, select import, and browse for that file on the svcd.
DVDLab will also transcode the audio to 48khz if it isn't already.
Once you have the two parts, drop them into the movie1 box and author.
You're going to waste a bunch of space though.
Better to have 3 full SVCD's demuxed, THEN start dvdlab and put all 3 on one dvd. Depending on movie length/bitrate, you might even get 4 full movies on dvd.
To "output/compile" the file, I suggest you start here: https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?link=602
Yes, you are using an svcd as source, but all the other steps are the same to author.
