Hi. I'm going to invest in a DLT recorder to be able to submit DVDs for replication.
Is there only ONE standard in DLT drives/media, so can I just buy a used DLT that has been used for backup in a computer company, or are there spesific standards I need to know of.
Thanx in advance if anyone can answer.

AFAIK there are about three different densities 20gb 40gb & 70gb . The individual drives are generally backward compatible but you cant use 40 or 70 on a 20gb drive.
DLT2 dlt3 dlt4 and I think there is now a DLT super. this is all guesswork tho and not gospel.Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons. -
So, this means that you think that I can use any DLT drive? Because my DVDs are no bigger than 7,9 GB MAX anyway.
