I know this topic have been up a lot of times, but I am still confused.
Unfortunately is the capture cards menu down for the moment so I hope there is some people, who can spare som time and advise a newbie before I buy a card.
My demands:
-Preis level (Same level as Pinnacle PCTV or just a litle more)
-Capture from TV/VCR/DVD through S-video input in MPEG1 and MPEG2.
-Don't need the TV-tuner on the card for the time being.
-Burn VCD/SVCD's to play on stand alone Pioneer DV 444 dvd player
-Must be possible to capture vhs movies with macrovision
-Picture quality must be okay.
-Must be comp. with my hard ware
Hard ware:
-Asus A7V motherbord
-Athlon 800 Mhz CPU
-Asus Geforce DDR @Quadro
-256 MB sdram
-IBM GXP 15+45 GB 7200 rpm IDE harddisc's
-Soundblaster 128 pci
-Asus CD-R x50
-Mitsumi CD-W x4
-3d com lan card
-Win 98 SE
Regards from Denmark
Henrik
