  1. Is this posible: make a automated routine/schedule for maintenance?

EG: Run adaware than close it, then spybot then close it, then window washer then close, then defrag w/ diskeeper then close. etc., etc.

do i need to know command line options for thes progs...?

    thanks in advance

    Win2K or XP?

search for "run as a service" on google.
    The use the AT command

or check to see if either programs have command line switches. Then put it in a batch file, then use AT command

  3. XP

    What's an AT command?

I don't know if all those apps can run as services. That was an example, I have other progs to add to the maintenance list.

Will a batch file allow me to wait until the program is doen w/ an operation then close it and start the next program?

  5. First of all, it's good to see you back, mujahid7ia!

I don't know if this will be any help, but here goes:

Start --> All Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> Scheduled Tasks

You can get a program to launch from this, but I don't think it does much else unless you can get the program itself to do the task upon launch. Have a play and see if it's any good.

  7. There is a place in task scheduler to add command lines.... I guess I'll have to find them for all these apps and try to estimate how long each will take and set an end time, and hope none will have errors I have to press OK for...

There must be an easier way then this... Im gonna search for some software to help me.
