I've tried hair spray and gels in the past, none of them can stand up to the mighty force that is my hair. Five minutes after spraying or putting it on my hair will be back to the mess it was before it started.

Have you tried letting it have its way, ala Kramer? Before I started washing it every day I'd try using something on it, but by lunch time my head would look, depending on what side I slept on, like either an anvil or one of those African trees that isn't very tall but the branches spread waaay out

I've thought about the Kramer look and it usually makes an appearance when I wake up in the morning.

For my high school graduation I had it in the full fro style but that maintenance is a killer.

My mother absolutely refused it, or I'd have dressed and styled myself as the ultimate Hair Metal dude. She had concerns that I'd turn out 'funny' if I used more Aqua-Net than my girlfriend. Or that I'd end up in the Shriner's hospital because I'd have a cigarette-hairspray interaction.

Except for my frosh year, I had pretty short hair. And I think the four years I was in high school, I shaved twice.

I let my hair grow freely. Some people say I look like a dirty hippie, some like an amish man (with hat), but I think I look like a rocking bass player. I do shave some parts of my face though, notably the cheeks.
