  1. My Apex AD-1110W all of the sudden will not play any of the DVD+R's that I burned. I burn with a liteon LDW 451s. It tells me no disk, and will only play regular stor bought DVD's. Anyone experiance this? Anyone know a fix?

  4. DVD+r's that I have had for 1+y nolonger play. They will play on my PC and on other dvd players. Just not on this APEX dvd player. Have any of you seen a player go out like this were it will play normal purchased dvd movies but not +/-R's.

  5. Could be dust/dirt on the laser optics. Try a cd or dvd cleaning disc. Alternatively the player's laser is just not as good as it was when new. Basically its performance has weakened with use.

  6. How much can you expect from a no-name player like that? In the long run one save money buying branded stuff of well known quality. I cant say for sure that it is you player causing this, but its very likely. You get what you pay for. Also your dvd burner isnt exactly top of the line, but then, neither is mine But then, at least my OLD Pioneer still play everything i burned, even those that fail to verify in the PC. My next burner will be a pioneer, FOR SURE!

Since you have a Liton burner, you might want to try to set the book type of one of your DVD+R to DVD-ROM and see what happens.

Boy do I know about that. I had a Digix DV-526UP player that played DVD,s MP3, SVCD, VCD, DVD+R but refused to play DVD+RW, DVD-RW or DVD-R.

Then I bought a JVC XV-N410BK and it plays all those formats.[/quote]

My APEX 1500 was a great cheap player when DVD players were expensive. It died, taking a DVD with it as it shoved the disc behind the disc holder. Not a problem. Bought a new DVD player for the same price that works even better. Move on.
