    I have a video file that has video data according to avi preview it also has sound for the whole thing. IS there any way i can some how recover or show up the video? thanks!

    First off, this probably isn't the correct forum - newbie would be a better place for it.

    Secondly, what format is the file (what is the extension, is it meant to be divx, xvid, mpeg etc) ? If you are using avi preview, would it be wrong of me to assume this is a downloaded file from a p2p ? If so, has the download completed ?

    A little more info will stop us throwing suggestions in the dark.

    Tried G-spot? If that doesn't work open it with Virtualdub, go to File>File Information.

    i did dl it from p2p and it is done. the codec is div3.
