    Hi all,

Does it happen to you that the Adobe Mpeg Encoder in premiere Pro simply gets desactivated by itself with no reason ?

  4. What i would do is uninstall Premiere Pro and reinstall it. Shutdown after install, then register test it out. You must have the full version of Premiere Pro and not the demo. Also you might want to check out the forums on the adobe site (if you havent already).

Thanks, actually, uninstalling and reinstalling activated the Adobe encoder again....weird.....

I think that, if I activate the MPEG2 Main concept codec in Sound Forge, Premiere Pro looks at it and consider it as already activated....

It's weird..it has happened many times to me, I have a fulll legal copy, Adobe says upon first activation that the user must keep the code, but typing it again just doesn't work

    Thanks,

    Zetti

  6. Just to let you guys know, my Premiere Pro MPEG transcoder deactivated as well. This happened after I activated the Sound Forge MPEG plugin. For a while I couldn't figure out what went wrong until I read the messages here. The solution is to uninstall Premiere Pro then reinstall again. Just reinstalling Premiere without uninstalling does not work. From what I've seen on the internet, this is happening to a lot of people.

  7. Easy fix for this.. Doesn't require install...

    Delete the registry key

    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Premiere\7.0\Adobe MPEG Encoder\Registration\StartDate

Then add a DWORD value as StartDate with the data as "0".

    This should reset the activation.

Just wanted to say "Thanks"... I also had a problem with the MPEG encoder activation (I recently upgraded to Sound Forge 6) and this thread saved me the hassle of re-installation/Adobe tech support. So thanks again.
