I have a wireless gamepad (pelican accessories) that I am attempting to use with my XP computer. I have the "super dual box" USB connector, and I have the wireless PSX adapter plugged into player-1 slot. I cannot get the PC to recognise the gamepad. I know the gamepad works perfect connected to the PSX-one. I have gone into XP's Control Settings/ Game Controllers and attempted to setup the gamepad, but it says "not connected" and I am unable to set it.
I am able to get another gamepad - a Cosmos wireless - to work so it is something particluar to the pelican
any help or assistance will be appreciated.

go to device manager and see if it shows up there.
Try it in another USB port.
Try it in another player port #2 maybe.
Go to the manufacturer site and see if there's a driveer/patch you need for XP.
