i encode the movie file with tmpgenc. Then i burn it with nero 6. But when i play it in my dvd player there is no sound. Is there some kind of settings that i kind to change.

Does it play on your PC ok?
You did play the mpeg after encoding to see if it was OK ? Before you used Nero. -
hmm not alot to go on here, but ill guess that ur "movie file" was an avi divx or xvid and it had mp3 or ac3 audio, what u do is b4 encoding with tmpgenc u extact the audio and save as a wav file, using virtual dub, load the video and on the file menu select save wav and use this audio in tmpgenc. if u still have the mpeg file just multiplex this wav file into the mpeg save u re-encoding

like andyp1 said, have you tried it in your puter?
i know my player is the main prob for me on this one. the optical connection doesnt read. i have to switch my reciever to analog and use component connections.
