I ran an .avi movie through ffmpegX 0.0.9e using the hi-bitrate DVD preset. The .avi movie is 1 hr 26 min long. The .mpg and .mpg.DVD output movies were only 25 min long. I ran the .avi through DivX Doctor II and the output .mov was 1 hr and 26 min long. When I input the .mov through ffmpegX, the output files were agin only 25 min long.
Any suggestions? Here is the process information. Thank you.

Hopefully Major will have a better answer to your question!
But in the meantime - how large was your original avi and how large is the mpeg2 output file? And - I hesitate to ask this but - did you run out of disk space again?
Also have you tried playing the mpeg2 in vlc or something. What happens after 26 mins? Sometimes the reported duration of video is incorrect (especially the durations reported by the Finder if you have 'Show Icon Info' checked in Finder's 'Show View Options').

Hi again thoughton, thanks for remembering me.
The orginal avi is 708.5 MB. The mpg out file is 716.5 MB. I didn't run out of disk space, I think I learn my lesson on that. On VLC, the mpg file is 15 min long. When I double click it, QuickTime lauches and the end of the mpg file shows 00:25:15. There nothing passed the 25:15 min. QuickTime goes back to the beginning.
