from my friends i hear that a software exist in the market which write a cd which is already written. i can't belive. it may be a rumor. or if it is possible which software can. pls help

It's possible, its called "multi-session" however the CD that you are trying to burn to must have initially been burnt allowing "multi-sessions" otherwise you can't do it.
Programs like Nero or Easy CD Creator can do it however I think "multi-session" can only be done with data CD's, not video or audio CD's. -
Just to add to what pacmania said, a multisession disc allows you to add data after the initial session, not write data over it.

just to add what pacmania was saying. a year or so ago i remember hearing about a company (tdk, i think) that developed a cd burner that would let you erase cd-r's and write to them again.. it never really took off because cd-r's were so cheap by then..
what ever happened with TDK's "armour plated" dvd-r's? 100X more scratch resistant than normal dvd-r's. -
Those TDK ones were being advertised over her quite a lot a few months a go, but I have never seen them for sale in the shops.
