  1. Hi, I just bought my first DVD Burner and decided to experiment with ripping. I ripped a DVD using a program called DVD to DVD or something. I configured it all it then ripped it, then encoded it, and it outputed a dvd compliant (I think and hope) MPG file. I know if I just burn the MPG file to the DVD it won't work on DVD players. How can I make it work and could any also offer any suggestions on the best DVD Ripping, Encoding, and Burning software? Thanks in Advance.

DVD Shrink 3.1.7 rips, re-authors, compresses and burns (as long as you already have Nero installed).

    and it's free......

And if you don't have Nero you can use Shrink to output an ISO file and burn it with DVD Decrypter which is also free.

To put your mpeg on DVD you need to author it, look for a guide in the "Author" section over there <-<-<-.
