Weak signal or interferance for a guess.....especially if the lines are slightly diagonal and scroll up or down. Ensure both ends are plugged in tight. Ensure the cables not been crushed and check no new equipment is sighted near the cable or that the cable has been re-routed for that matter.

What cable are you using ...rca cables (yellow ended video lead) are the worst for this type of problem.......upgrade to s-video cable if your using one of these.

  3. Thanks for the answer
i´m using a svhs conection with coaxial cabble and golden plugs, the lines are straight like they´re sharing equaly the screen in parts, they were not there before, and it just happens with avi files.

    More info required.

What vid card (and driver) are you using?
What media player are you using? (Zoomplayer is a MUST for Tv out)

Sounds to me like your playing typical half height avi's but your media player/gfx card driver isnt double pumping on the TV's interlace.

  5. Okay
i´m using a G4 ti 4200 with forceware driver 56.72, and also using zoom player (really the best)
But the problem i have seems some software problem, because it wasn´t like that before, any ideas?

I'm not sure if this is interlace ... or herringbone noise. Hard to tell from the info given. I suggest the author read up on those two things:

    1. INTERLACE
    2. HERRINGBONE PATTERN DISTORTION

Ahhhh I think I can see your problem................

.................the nvidia 56.72 driver are FX series drivers and not designed for your G4 (though everyone *thinks* that somehow magic will happen on there old cards... and nvidia arent going to dispell (pun) the myth).........uninstall and use a 40 series instead (you will not gain anything using 50 series and above on your card).

    Try the 44.03
