  1. Hi,

    I burned avi file but i have errors running it on my standalone. The audio file type is AC3. I tried changing compression with virtual dub but i couldn't and i get a message:

    No audio decompressor found to decompress the audio source format

    Please help.

    If Virtual Dub mod does load the original video, save the file as a wave file (File-->Save Wave...). You then should be able to work with it then.

    First of all there is not option in VirtualDubMod Save as wav. Secondly I tried to do that in VirtualDub but I've got message which I wrote before.

    Sorry, on the newest Virtual Dub mod, the path is Streams-->Streams List--Save WAV...

  7. I went there and I couldn't open file because of format. I can open there: supported formats.wav, mp?,ac3, ogg, dts, srt
    How I can open avi file ?

    Did you install the AC3 ACM Decompressor yet? This is necessary in order to decompress the audio so you can convert to another format. Once you do that, open your movie with Virtualdub, go to the audio menu and select "full processing mode", then "compression" and choose mp3 with the bitrate simillar to that of the original AC3(you can find out by going to File>File Information). Now go to the video menu and select "direct stream copy", go to file and save as avi. This will produce a new avi with mp3 compression that your player will hopefully decode easier.
