I have a problem that I would certainly LOVE someone out there to help me with!!
Okay...I have a Panasonic NV-GS50 DV camera. I also have a computer (running Windows XP) that has an onboard firewire port. I'm using VideoStudio 7 SE-DVD.
My problem is...I cannot get my computer/software to recognize that the camera even exists. Its on VCR mode, its plugged in correctly, I've even downloaded the microsoft "810032" package thinking that might have been the problem. But still....everytime I load up VideoStudio, it comes up with "EITHER NO VIDEO CAPTURE DRIVER IS INSTALLED IN THIS SYSTEM, OR NO DEVICE IS CONNECTED".
Any advice would be SO appreciated!!!!

when you plug the camera into the computer, does the little icon pop up in the system tray? also try downloading the driver for your firewire port.

Yeah, I've done that...but still nothing. And no, when I connect the camera up with the firewire cord, I don't get any icon coming up at all. It's not recognizing that its there at all. Any suggestions anyone???
