  1. I have rather big (6gb) mpeg-2 file. Players work with it perfectly, quality is good enough. When I try to author file in DVD-lab (I use a lot of motions menu), it creates in VOB only 3/4 of mpeg. I tried different versions of dvd lab, pro does not work in my case at all.

Who knows, where the problem is? Can it be because dvdlab somehow has limits on the file size (project is 17 gb?)?

    Thank you.

  2. Because I have huge source file that I want to shrink after compiling. I don't want to go for 2 DVDs. But it's not the problem. My question was whether or not there were size limits in dvdlab (I have to use another authoring tool. What is better for my case)? Maybe something wrong with dvd lab 1.4? I used a lot version 1.3.1.

  3. I imagine there are certain limits within DVD lab. I doubt it is program specific but rather DVD spec specific.

You have 17GB of data that you want to write to a 4.5GB DVD?

That would mean you would need to reduce the sources by ~75%. Most likely the bite rate will be so low that a player will not play it.

Your output will be unviewable. Give up trying to author this on one DVD. It will not work.
