  1. Hi everyone! First of all my apologies if this is not the right forum or place to post this but because i've been learning a lot since i registered here i thought you could help me on this one as well. If this canīt be answered i politely ask the moderators to lock it or erase it. Well so here is my doubt... For some time i had installed a software that came with my dvd-burner when i bought it, it's a simple software that burns cd's, dvd's either data or video and also formats dvd-rw and cd-rw. Then i installed anydvd and also elby's clonedvd to make some backups of my movies. I used this softwares for a long time but then out of the blue my dvd-writer stopped formating and also copying dvd movies from the hard disk into blank dvd's, i thought that the dvd-writer was damaged but it wasn't, without no reason this softwares were making conflicts... I know this because i formatted the pc and i just installed the software that came with the dvd-writer, i tested it and the dvd-writer was working ok. I tried again to install anydvd and clonedvd and the same thing happened, my dvd-writer again wasn't formating neither copying dvd's from the hard disk into blank dvd's. So why have i never had a problem before and now i'm having it?? And what softwares can i use to make backup copies without making conflicts among each other??? I like anydvd and clone dvd and i wanna use them like before... Thanks in advance!!!

Anydvd messes up the region on your drive. I installed anydvd once and lost the ability to read dvd's at all. After I unistalled anydvd, I had to do a system restore to fix the problem. You don't have to listen to me, but my advice would be to get rid of anydvd. If you want region free copies, dvdshrink and dvddecrypter will do this.

  3. Well thanks a lot for your opinion and it seems that it's exactly what i'm gonna do, gonna get rid of anydvd despite of being an excelent software. It's strange because i've never had any problem's with it but now i'm having and the answer is ANYDVD. Is there any other software like anydvd that removes protection on-the-fly?? Dvddecrypter is excelent but it disprotects the dvd copying it to the hard disk and anydvd removes protection on-the-fly working in the background. Much more faster to make backups this way. Oh well we can't have everything in life can we?? If there is any other software that removes protection on the fly just let me know! Thanks again!
